For my brand guidelines, I wanted to keep the classic colors that Outdoor Voices is known for as well as the typography. When deciding on a logo, I wanted to keep the sleek OV look with the blue background, which has become a common color reference to the brand. The RUN CLUB in all caps was created to show a distinct difference from the parent branding to symbolize the goal of the extension- to find a community within Outdoor Voices. This extension leans on the parent branding for the recognition it already holds, the the brand extension of the Run Club will work on it's own as a place for people with similar interests to start #DoingThings, which is the main mission of the Outdoor Voices brand.
My Outdoor Voices mood-board was inspired by movement. I wanted this illustration to represent the Run Club extension, which also featuring the classic Outdoor Voices images and clothing. Most photos depict people outside, to represent the running club activity location.
For the OV Run Club app storyboard, I wanted to make sure the client could see the similarities of the parent brand shine through. For example, I kept the classic blue and white Outdoor Voices colors and the cut-down, easy to navigate interface that is also seen on their website. I chose the six cities based off of where Outdoor Voices has a large audience as well as storefronts. Lastly, the app is made to be simple- a place to coordinate meets ups and message people in your new-found community.
My website interface design reflects the client's goal of taking the pressure out working out. Rather than a competitive environment that's focused on weight-loss or statistics, OV Run Club is made for a community of people who love to move their body with others. I wanted the photos featured on the interface inspire community as well as feature Outdoor Voices clothing. The design itself is colorful and fun to match the rest of the OV branding.
The social media campaign for the Outdoor Voices Run Club shows a countdown to the launch of the OV app. The photo's text are direct and to the point with runners and the logo shown in the background. The design features language to spark interest and enthusiasm of the new app.
I chose to highlight this design, which is a sidewalk
marketing campaign in the six major cities where the
OV Run Club has an established group. This design
was inspired by my goal to find our target market
where they are- walking and running in their
community. By having this design truly under your
nose, the QR code allows for an easy sign up (you
don’t even have to stop walking!) The design
highlights the goal of the extension- run with people
and join a new community while doing it.
